ARJ21 program

ARJ21 is the short name for "Advanced Regional Jet for the 21st Century", which is turbofan short/medium range regional jet of the Chinese manufacturer Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd. (COMAC). It can accommodate 78 to 90 passengers in a 5 seats per row configuration.


The ARJ21 program was launched in 2007 by AVIC/ACAC (lately integrated to COMAC). In 2008, Safran Electronics & Defense, one of the world's leaders for flight control, has been selected to provide the Flight Deck Control System. After the acquisitions by Safran of the Power Distribution Management Solutions and the Integrated Cockpit Solutions business of Eaton in 2014, Safran Electronics & Defense provides the Control Panels and Safran Electrical & Power provides some circuit breakers for the ARJ21.
