COMAC

Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd. (COMAC) is a Chinese state-owned limited liability company. COMAC functions as the main vehicle in implementing large passenger aircraft programs in China.

It is also mandated with the overall planning of developing trunk liner and regional jet programs and realizing the industrialization of civil aircraft in China. Safran and COMAC cooperate on programs, such as ARJ21 and C919.

 

ARJ21

Safran is a risk-sharing partner in this program with Safran Electronics & Defense as supplier of the cockpit control system of ARJ21.

 

C919

Safran is the supplier of the LEAP-1C Integrated Propulsion System, including the engine and nacelle, through CFM International*. Safran is also providing all EWIS (Electrical Wiring Interconnection System) of the C919 trough a JV with COMAC called SAIFEI (Shanghai SAIFEI Aviation EWIS Manufacturing Co., Ltd), which was created in 2012.

 
(*) CFM International is a 50/50 joint company between Safran Aircraft Engines and GE.
