Safran participated in the 2015 Science Festival at the French School of Shanghai

Safran stand at the Science Festival 2015

During two days event, the students had the chance to attend several conferences about different topics, such as Molecular gastronomy, Geology and Aerospace. Mr. Jean-Luc DOUBLET, Senior Vice President of Safran Group, responsible of COMAC & AVIC Aircraft Programs, held a conference on Aerospace Technologies.

In addition to the conference, Safran China organized a"Safran stand"to introduce the Group activities, with the collaboration of many of its local subsidiaries (Snecma Suzhou, MBD Suzhou and SAIFEI). Topics such as "How an engine works", "The different purposes of a nacelle" and "Additive manufacturing" were presented to the students. Few of Safran equipment have been introduced to the young public: CFM56 low-compressor turbine disc, B787 Brake rod, aircraft harnesses, IPS-1C mock-up, LEAP fan blade, etc.

The students ranged in age from primary to high school level. They were very curious and enthusiastic about Aerospace. The Science Festival was a great success offering an abundance of activities, exhibitions, debates and creative initiatives.
